How to delete your account

  1. Open the Car Handovers app and sign in.
  2. Go to Account, then Profile, then Delete account.
  3. Confirm. This cannot be undone.

That deletes your login and the records listed below from our servers, straight away. Deleting needs a connection, because it removes your records from our servers and not only your sign-in from this phone.

If you cannot sign in, email support@carhandovers.com from the email address on your account and we will do it for you.

What we delete from our servers

Your account, your name, email address and company name, every handover record and condition answer, every photograph and walkaround video, every PDF report, your saved signature and your custom questions.

What is not

  • Your subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play. We cannot cancel it for you, and deleting your account will not stop the payments.
  • Reports you have already given to someone. A PDF sent to a customer or an insurer stays with them. Any walkaround video link printed in it will stop working once the recording is deleted.
  • Copies on your own phone. Photographs the app saved to your phone's gallery are yours and stay there. The app's own copies go when you remove the app from your phone.
  • Anything the law requires us to keep, or that is needed for a complaint, a dispute or a legal claim. That is deleted once it is no longer needed.

Retention

If you do not delete your account, completed handovers are generally kept for two years from the date of the handover, then deleted.
